Jim Jones unleashed his most up-to-date studio album, The Fraud Department, earlier this year, and therefore the Harlem rap star is already gearing up for his next release. On Tuesday (May 4), Jim Jones took to Instagram to point out fans what he’s performing on in preparation for the new album.
In the clip, fans can see Capo filming a music video ahead of what seems to be a pink Lincoln Continental in Miami. Next to him, sitting on the car’s trunk is 2 Chainz, who’s vibing along to Jones’ ironclad bars.
“Tony popped out on me to shoot Shit up,” Jones wrote within the caption of his post. “@2chainz “Stand Down” off the # Jones’s album 30 days b more like 30 days b.”
2 Chainz took to his Instagram Story to share two clips of the Miami meet-up with Jim Jones. one among the pictures was a boomerang of two Chainz rapping his verse on the unreleased song, while the opposite showed the Atlanta native posing ahead of the Hotel Clinton with Jones.
So far, 2 Chainz is that the only known feature on the upcoming album, but there are bound to be more revealed as fans countdown the times to release day. the sole other news about The Jones’s is that the Dipset captain joined forces with ny producer Scram Jones inside Capo’s Quarantine Studios for the collaborative effort.
During his interview with HipHopDX in March 2021, Jim Jones explained how Quarantine Studios gave birth to The Jones’s and five other studio albums during a matter of months.
“I was ready to manipulate a couple of different platforms and make it add my very own favor and virtually in real-time with no latency,” Jones said about the new opportunities Quarantine Studios gave him. “I’ve recorded six albums like this thus far . The Fraud Department was the second album, and therefore the first was the El Capo deluxe. After this project with Harry Fraud we dropping the one with Scram Jones. then is Hitmaka, then DJ Drama. We working and this is often something I’ve been performing on for the entire shutdown, and it’s some real quality work too. I’m proud.”
